The obvious advantage to titanium over steel is titanium is a lot lighter (45%), and it’s a more exotic metal that sounds neat. It’s also generally much more difficult to machine, so there’s some cache to that, as it’s more laborious to produce. If you are sensitive to and care about the weight of your watch, then looking into titanium is a good idea. However, titanium will scratch, often quite easily. For this reason, given stainless is generally cheaper, has heft and is easier to work with and produce more finishes, I prefer the look and feel of steel.
